Alisa Walls Named Farm Credit Bank of Texas Deputy General Counsel

AUSTIN, Texas – Farm Credit Bank of Texas (FCBT) has promoted Alisa Walls to deputy general counsel of the Austin-based bank.

Walls has been with the Farm Credit System (System) since 2001. Most recently, she was FCBT associate general counsel, corporate affairs, where she was the primary legal resource for credit, loan regulatory compliance and loan origination system issues. She is a graduate of Yale University and received her law degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

“Alisa has consistently added value to the bank and our corporate affairs team over the last 12 years,” said FCBT General Counsel Carolyn Owen. “I am looking forward to her contributions in her new position.”

The $15.4-billion Farm Credit Bank of Texas provides funding to 17 rural financing cooperatives in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico and Texas. The bank is part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, the nation's single largest source of financing for agriculture, agribusiness, rural real estate and country homes.
