Lone Star Ag Credit, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, is looking for a Quality Control Specialist to support the organization’s Quality Assurance & Control program that meets secondary & regulatory guidelines for both origination, sub-servicing and consumer lending. The successful candidate will assist in the comparison of approvals, documentation, and internal policy and procedure requirements at various points of the loan origination and post close process.   • Execute established Quality Assurance & Control program activities which includes compliance testing with established procedures, policies and regulatory requirements at various points in the loan origination and post close process. Effectively summarize and communicate findings in management reports and business partner communications.
  • Work directly with the Credit team in reviewing documentation required for credit actions prior to the related loan documents being released for funding.
  • Follows up with affected departments and collects supporting documentation to resolve outstanding items identified as part of the Quality Assurance & Control program.
  • Provides enthusiastic, professional service to internal and external clients. Develops and nurtures a compliance culture.
  • Promotes honest and open communication throughout the Association and its affiliates.
  • Demonstrates behaviors that are consistent with the Association values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field, and two (2) years or more of experience in loan document review or audit. Experience in the financial services or lending industry is a preferred.
  • General knowledge of accounting/financial systems. Specialized knowledge of accounting/finance principles. Skill in oral and written communication. Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to perform intermediate-level accounting and financial comparison under moderate supervision.
  • Working knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to credit unions and mortgage lending institutions including regulations C, X, Z and Fair Lending Practices as well as knowledge of mortgage lending institution operations and procedures, especially the TRID requirements.
  • Knowledge of secondary market underwriting guidelines and eligibility requirements for a variety of investors, including: FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA, and FHLB.
  • Excellent analytical abilities with good business judgment are essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to include oral and written communications.
  • Effective project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
