The annual Cowboy Breakfast marks the kickoff of the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo, one of the largest nonprofit organizations in the Austin area. For many years, Farm Credit volunteers have come out to welcome the crowd of early risers by serving cowboy classics such as biscuits and gravy.

The Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo proudly presented $484,000 in college scholarships to 45 students in 2014. Since the start of the program in 1981, the Star of Texas Fair and Rodeo has awarded $5.9 million in college scholarships. Farm Credit is an annual sponsor of the breakfast, as well as the steer wrestling event at each performance of the rodeo.
