Community Involvement

The Farm Credit Bank of Texas salutes all past and present 4-H’ers who have ever committed themselves to this well-loved pledge:

“I pledge my head to clearer thinking,
my heart to greater loyalty,
my hands to larger service,
and my health to better living,
for my club, my community,
my country, and my world.”

We support 4-H through the Texas 4-H Youth Development Foundation by annually sponsoring the Texas 4-H Roundup.

The 2013 Roundup was held June 10-14 in College Station, where Farm Credit was the sole event sponsor of the 4-H Scholarship Banquet, Scholarship Donor Program and Foundation Dinner.

The annual roundup includes approximately 50 contests and workshops that test 4-H members on life skills such as decision making, public speaking, organization and working with others.

On June 10, 2013, the Farm Credit Bank of Texas (FCBT) Marketing Director, right, presented an Opportunity Scholarship in the amount of $2,000 to a deserving 4-H senior. FCBT partners with 10 of its district associations to offer four such 4-H scholarships. At left is the marketing manager from FCBT district association Lone Star Ag Credit.
