Mississippi Land Bank is a financial institution that provides financing for agriculture, agribusiness, and rural real estate purchases and improvements. The institution is headquartered in Senatobia, Mississippi with six full time branch offices and three satellite offices that service 32 counties in Northern Mississippi. With over $800 million in assets, the institution is a cooperative and part of the Farm Credit System.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field with at least 24 college credit hours in accounting and five (5) to seven (7) years or more of professional experience in accounting.

Assists management in directing the financial and accounting functions of the organization primarily through the preparation and maintenance of the accounting records and general ledger, including reconcilement of transactions to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Assist in organizing data to facilitate the timely production of the Association’s published financial statements and reporting requirements. Fully competent senior-level professional; assignments are broad and complex in nature required originality, ingenuity, and leadership; has appreciable latitude for decision making; works under minimum supervision. May serve as a Team Leader.
General knowledge of accounting/financial systems. Specialized knowledge of accounting/finance principles. Skilled in oral and written communication. Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to perform intermediate to advanced-level accounting/financial analyses under limited supervision.
Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to stand for limited periods of time. Ability to climb stairs multiple times during the day with ease. Frequent finger/hand manipulation (e.g. keyboard, office equipment, small hand tools, etc.). Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling while exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
