AgTexas Farm Credit Services serves approximately 2,600 borrowers in a 43-county trade territory. The association has an average volume of approximately $2 billion. The loan portfolio consists of cotton, peanuts, livestock, dairy, feed grains, real estate and ag-related business loans. The association territory provides diversity in production and mortgage loans as well as commodities financed.

Education and Experience

High school graduate and three (3) or more years of experience in mortgage loan processing, loan support operations, title company, general accounting or banking. Strong customer relationship skills and commitment to outstanding customer service. Experience in real estate lending or lien perfection preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as computer skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with Ellie Mae Encompass preferred. Experience with Farm Credit scope and eligibility preferred.

Job Purpose and Scope

Performs a variety of loan processing and administrative duties for consumer loans originated and held in our portfolio. Works closely with branch lending and loan admin teams to coordinate transactions.

  • Enters consumer loan application details into loan origination system.
  • Prepares early disclosures.
  • Coordinates collection of items needed from applicant for underwriting.
  • Works with mortgage loan originators to help move applications through the loan-making process.
  • Works with appropriate staff to prepare loan closing documents.
  • Prepares final loan disclosures.
  • Coordinates closing requirements such as title insurance.
  • Demonstrates understanding of regulatory requirements (TRID – TIL / RESPA).

Working Relationships

Frequent interaction with Association departmental staff and field office staff. Occasional interaction with Farm Credit Bank of Texas staff and association senior management. Frequent interaction with area professionals including real estate agents, commercial bankers, title companies and others who deal with the Association in the normal course of business.
