Mississippi Land Bank is a financial institution that provides financing for agriculture, agribusiness and rural real estate purchases and improvements. The institution is headquartered in Senatobia, Mississippi with six full time branch offices and four satellite offices that service the 32 counties in Northern Mississippi. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or a related field or equivalent experience and seven (7) to ten (10) or more years of experience in loan servicing including origination, title examination, closing, loan accounting and collateral processing.

Job Purpose and Scope

Provides outstanding customer service and specialized technical assistance in servicing loans. Answers inquiries, initiates correspondence, prepares and monitors reports and performs loan maintenance transactions. Follows Association workflow processes, policies and procedures. Communicates with Association department managers/officers to promote efficient and correct workflow, establish positive working relationships across the organization.

Essential Functions

  • Answer incoming calls, respond to requests for information and assistance and initiate correspondence.
  • Provides leadership and direction to staff
  • Proficient in all loan origination, loan accounting and related systems
  • Comply with Association policies and procedures and ensure that daily workflow assignments are completed. As directed by supervisor, provide training and assistance by traveling to a specific location if needed.
  • Works with legal counsel and auditors on various regulatory and compliance issues as well as various special projects; gathers information and researches issues.
  • Reconciles reports, performs several monthly and annual certifications
  • Performs final review of documents and is responsible for loan certification and pledging.
  • Oversees the preparation, routing and recording of all loan servicing documents.

Other Duties

  • Operates a variety of standard office equipment according to detailed instructions which may include computers, telephones, photocopiers, fax machines and scanners.
  • Performs other duties to assist in the function of the department as requested by the supervisor.

Skill Requirements

Specialized knowledge of terminology related to legal descriptions and documentation of real property. Specialized knowledge of title commitments/policies and underwriting standards related to title examination. General knowledge of accounting/finance principles.
