Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Collateral Evaluator is to perform evaluations and collateral inspections in compliance with association standards and procedures. The candidate will prepare valuation reports and related correspondence with latitude for decision making.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Forestry, Finance, or related field plus two (2) or more years of experience in finance or banking in the area of collateral evaluation or real estate evaluation. Demonstrates agricultural expertise including solid knowledge of multiple agricultural industries a plus.

Job Purpose and Scope

  • Performs collateral valuations including site inspections for environmental risks in compliance with association standards and procedures on properties and other collateral throughout the territory.
  • Maintains comparable sales data, current improvement cost data, and other resource information required to make accurate evaluations. Communicates findings regarding land and chattel property value trends to management.
  • Prepares reports and all related correspondence, while offering cost effective valuations and related services.
  • Assists in monitoring the standards of conduct within the appraisal service area.
