AgTexas Farm Credit Services serves approximately 2,600 borrowers in a 43 county trade territory. The association has an average volume of approximately $2 billion. The loan portfolio consists of cotton, peanuts, livestock, dairy, feed grains, real estate and ag-related business loans. The association territory provides diversity in production and mortgage loans as well as commodities financed. The Amarillo office has $360 million in direct loans to 230 members consisting primarily of livestock, grain, real estate, and agribusiness financing.
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Economics, Finance, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience and two (2) or more years of experience in finance and/or banking in the area of collateral or real estate evaluation. Knowledge of livestock, farm equipment, crops and their respective operational practices required. Specialized knowledge of property and collateral evaluation methods. Ability to work independently and communicate complex information. Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office. Skill in written and oral communication. Travel is required for this position.
Frequent interaction with customers, association departmental staff and management. Occasional interaction with association senior management, CEO and board of directors. Occasional interaction with Farm Credit Bank of Texas staff. Frequent interaction with area professionals and producers including farmers, ranchers, dairymen, loan officers and others who deal with the association in the normal course of business.
