Position Summary

The Centralized Branch Specialist will work with branch staff, the application team and loan closing team through-out the loan origination process. Using customer interfacing portals, the Specialist will obtain information from customers and deliver this information to the appropriate operational team. Other duties include, but are not limited to, assisting in the ordering of title, appraisals and chattel evaluations. The ability to interact with customers and several internal team members will be paramount to a candidate’s success.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Finance, or related field plus one (1) to three (3) years or more of financial operations, loan support operations, or banking experience preferred. Five (5) years of experience in lieu of degree is acceptable for the right candidate. Candidate must possess excellent communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment while performing a broad range of simultaneous duties, and have the ability to grasp processes quickly, accurately, and efficiently. Customer service is a critical component to the success of the candidate.

Job Purpose and Scope

  • Provides operational support across multiple lines of business
  • Acts as the borrower’s liaison between the application, underwriting, and closing process
  • Processes loan leads from website inquiries and association branch offices
  • Monitors loan reports to ensure each is progressing in a timely manner
  • Uses online customer portals for gathering information and sending loan documents electronically
  • Orders title work and appraisals
  • Ensures all loan documentation is reviewed and in compliance after the loan is booked
