AgTexas Farm Credit Services serves approximately 2,600 borrowers in a 43-county trade territory. The association has an average volume of approximately $2.3 billion. The loan portfolio consists of cotton, livestock, dairy, feed grains, real estate and ag-related business loans. The association territory provides diversity in production and mortgage loans as well as commodities financed.

Minimum Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus five (5) or more years of professional experience. General knowledge of accounting, financial systems. Specialized knowledge of terminology related to commercial and real estate loans. Must possess comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. Specialized knowledge of association policy, procedures, and guidelines. Skill in oral communication and specialized knowledge of written correspondence principles. Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications. Applicants should have strong attention to detail and follow through. Works under minimal supervision.

Job Purpose and Scope

  • Responsible for verification of necessary loan file documentation.
  • Prepares or reviews loan closing documents, forms, notices, and reports.
  • Supports loan administrators and lenders in branch offices in preparation and/or reviewing commercial loan documents, lien perfections, and loan accounting maintenance.

Working Relationships

Frequent interaction with association departmental staff, lending team and management. Regular interaction with association senior management, Farm Credit Bank of Texas, and CEO. Occasional interaction with area professionals who deal with the association in the normal course of business.
