AUSTIN,
Texas - The Austin-based Farm Credit Bank of Texas (FCBT) has hired
Isaac E. Bennett as vice president of loan syndications. He joins
the bank's new Capital Markets Group, which will develop and service
a portfolio of large participation and syndication transactions
for the bank.
Bennett is
experienced in both capital markets financing and Farm Credit lending.
Prior to joining the FCBT, he served for three years as vice president
of capital markets with AgFirst Farm Credit Bank in Columbia, S.C.
In that position, he developed and managed a portfolio of more than
$300 million.
Previously,
he was assistant to the president of South Carolina State University,
serving as liaison with the university's board of trustees and coordinating
constituency relations and legislative affairs. He also was vice
president of Edisto Farm Credit, ACA in Orangeburg, S.C.
Bennett is
a graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Banking.
He holds a master's degree in agribusiness and economics from South
Carolina State University and a bachelor's degree from the University
of Tennessee.
