Association Information: Land Bank South, FLCA provides mortgage loans to full time and part time agricultural producers and businesses in the southern 50 counties of Mississippi. The territory ranges from the Delta to the Gulf Coast. The institution has experienced good growth over the last several years and has become the leader in financing operations that include timber, cattle, poultry, cotton, soybeans, recreation and others. The diversified territory coupled with a progressive management philosophy provides excellent opportunities for employees. The Association services approximately $550MM in mortgage loans and is moving to acquire short term financing authorities during 2009.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, accounting, or a related field plus experience in agricultural credit analysis; experience as a loan officer; working knowledge of association structure, including board and management responsibilities is required. The candidate should have credit experience originating, coordinating and negotiating sensitive and complex business transactions for both long and short-term credit with an emphasis in credit extension, administration and related lending activities. A minimum of 10 years credit experience required with 5 years in a management level position required.

Responsibilities: Individual will oversee the credit function for the Association and will be responsible for its capital markets and loan participation operations. This position will be responsible for the development and deployment of credit policies and procedures, as well as training the lending team. Relies on extensive experience and judgment while working as a member of the senior management team to plan and accomplish goals and objectives. Must have a broad-based knowledge of credit and credit administration, Farm Credit Administration regulations, marketing, and fiscal operations with emphasis on the management processes that guide and control these functions.
