Texas Land Bank, ACA is a leader in financing rural real estate and agriculture in its chartered territory of 16 counties located in the greater Central Texas area from Dallas to Austin.  Texas Land Bank has been providing long-term agricultural real estate loans for more than 90 years.  Headquartered in Waco, Texas, with six lending offices located in Waco, Temple, Lampasas, Hillsboro, Corsicana, and Georgetown, Texas Land Bank is a growing and progressive lending cooperative that is part of the Farm Credit System.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred. Five or more years of experience in the administration and analysis of complex credits on commercial and mortgage loans including experience in structuring and evaluating complex loan participations, credit relationships, and analyses of direct loans.  The ability to demonstrate fundamentals of financial analysis and GAAP standards, including statement analysis, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and collateral evaluation required. Excellent proficiency in programs, including, but not limited to: Spreading software, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Analysis experience preferred in originating, coordinating and negotiating sensitive and complex business transactions for both long and short-term credit loans, with emphasis in credit extension, administration, risk assessment, and related lending activities.  Strong and effective communication skills are essential.

Job Purpose and Scope

Assists loan officers in the analysis, servicing, and reporting of the association’s loan participations, mortgage and commercial loans.  Performs credit and financial analyses on complex/multi-entity loan originations; monitoring and due diligence review of various loan packages/opportunities; and review, reporting, compliance and loan servicing activities.  May perform collateral evaluations as required.  Fully competent senior-level professional; assignments are broad and complex in nature requiring originality, ingenuity, and leadership; has appreciable latitude for decision making; works under minimum supervision.

Working Relationships

Will frequently interact with customers, association’s departmental staff and management, area professionals including real estate agents, commercial bankers, and others who deal with the association in the normal course of business; Occasionally interaction with association senior management, CEO, board of directors and the Farm Credit Bank of Texas staff.
